Karongwe - River Safari Lodge offers suites with views of the river and wildlife. Rooms include a Executive One-Bedroom Suite, Luxury Suite, and Presidential Suite. Each has air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom. The Presidential Suite overlooks a pond with hippos. Guests see monkeys and nyalas from the terrace.

Dining Options

The lodge serves full board meals with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast has buffet options like fruit, pastries, and hot dishes. Lunch is three courses from a menu. Dinner includes a Boma barbecue twice a week. Special diets are accommodated. Drinks like wine and beer are extra, but a complimentary sundowner is limited to one local beer, house wine, or soft drink per evening drive.

Leisure and Activities

Leisure includes an outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and pool towels. The spa offers massages and wellness packages. Daily game drives at 5:30 AM and 4 PM spot the Big Five. Guides like Stefan and tracker Alfred provide expert knowledge. A shared lounge and terrace are available for downtime.

Location and Transport

Located in Karongwe Game Reserve, 69 km from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport. The lodge offers a paid airport shuttle service. Transfers cost extra but are the main option. The reserve covers 10,000 acres with five lodges.

Services include 24-hour security with escort to rooms at night, daily housekeeping, and laundry. Baby-sitting and child services are available. The property has wheelchair access and a lower bathroom sink. Parking is accessible. Express check-in/check-out and safety deposit boxes are provided.
